I bought this camera for my husband, he is grateful for it and has not put it down ever since I gave it to him, its the perfect size and weight, it takes incredible pictures with the best resolution, I recommend this more than the 1100 or the other cameras for 3 reasons
Better resolution
View finder *which enables you to take pictures when it is very bright
Beter lcd screen *that consumes less battery time

I finally took the plunge and replaced my old digital camera with a modern image-stabilized one. What a difference! Shots that would have been just plain impossible are now easy. For example, I went to the Air and Space museum at Dulles Airport and got great shots of the planes and the space shuttle. At first the shots would not come out with the flash. Lovely picture quality, very easy to use (much easier than my prior Canon), and so quick to start. Easy to carry as well - can't wait to really put it through its paces.

Love this camera, it is so small and light that it is really easy to take it with you. Easy to use too. Just don't buy it when you want to have a lot of zoom because it can only do 3x and that's not very much. Screen is bright enough to see even when the sun shines and battery lasts quite long.
