For Celtic Thunder, Sharon Browne has teamed up with Grammy-nominated Irish songwriting and composing veteran Phil Coulter to produce a show that includes an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional "Mountains of Mourne" and "Come By the Hills" to international hits such as "Brothers in Arms" and "Desperado," as well as original compositions by Coulter, who has written hits for Elvis Presley ("My Boy") and the Bay City Rollers, and performed with Van Morrison, Tom Jones, and the Rolling Stones. The ensemble numbers in Celtic Thunder reflect the power of the vocalists, who range in age from 14 to 40, and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.

I have been reading through some of the several thousand reviews people have taken the time to write. You'll notice the things people keep saying are how talented the vocalists are, how beautiful the music is and how they watch the DVD over and over again. Be aware, the DVD is nothing compared to the live show. It's the difference between watching TV and experiencing reality. Whatever you have to do, go see the show! Buy this DVD and the two CD's. I first heard this group (reluctantly) on PBS when my husband requested I watch. I couldn't stop watching! I love this CD and can't wait to see and hear them in person. I also bought the CD so I can listen to them in my car!

A friend who saw the show on PBS made a pledge to receive the CD/DVD pack.
She loaned the DVD to me. When I saw it I was sold. I needed a copy for my collection.

Saw this show on TV and it was awesome--usually don't go in for this type of music but these guys are phenomenal-if you close your eyes you can go back to the "highlands" with their music--can't wait for a new show to come out--hopefully with the songs from the 2nd CD.
