finally found a cordless with good reception away from the bases in all parts of our solidly build house and big backyard.

I have had the phone for about 1 month. The handsets have great clarity, but the answering machine can be a little hard to understand. Otherwise, this is a great phone which is very intuitive to operate. I previously had a Siemans cordless since this was one of the first phone systems that operated off a base. It had a better range than the Panasonic, I could get a signal up to 30 yards from my house, but I had trouble with the handset clarity.

This phone system is exactly what I needed. I have a wireless LAN, and this phone frequency doesn't interfere with it at all. The sound quality is great throughout my apartment and even a good ways outside. I haven't tested the range limits, but I have gone out 25' or so to the driveway area of the complex without a decline of signal quality or volume. This is a very good telephone set. I am pleased with the volume and the features. I purchased an AT&T phone and could not hear the caller well nor could they hear me. I returned those phones and ordered these. I am much more satisfied with the service of this phone.
