I used my Blue Max for the first time this weekend during a hunting trip at my camper.It was a pleasure to start,2 pulls, and talk about quite I had it chained to the bumper of my camper and could barely hear it inside! When the refridgerator compressor cycled it barely changed tone. I ran it for 2 nights with no problems and never ran it out of gas. Great buy for the money.

Unfortunately it arrived broken and they didn't have another to replace it with. They did offer a refund but it was just the case broken and offered a partial refund if I kept it and fixed it. I am a mechanic so I decided to fix it. I hope it turns out ok. The box did not appear damaged in any way so if you get one try and open it immediately.

We received the generator in timely fashion. The shipping people had handled it very roughly, so that there were various plastic pieces that had broken off. However, the generator runs beautifully and easily and I would recommend it to anyone. Amazon made the breakage right with a discount and I am well pleased with this purchase.

My old 2800 genset voltage regulator quit working so I bought the Max. I have read all the reviews and was aware of the shipping damage problems.
I received the unit by UPS and there was no damage. The box was intact and good shape. I unpacked the unit and installed the dolly wheels (install wheels before filling oil and gas. Ordered the Blue Max 4000 and when I received was surprised to find out it wasn't truly a 4000 watt generator. Added gas and noted that the fuel gauge does not work. Added oil and the engine started right up and ran flawlessly. Does a good job of supplying power for my power tools. Just disappointed it is not what I really wanted. Will keep it though.
