Let me start by saying I don't know the first thing about ocarinas. I bought this for my seven-year-old who is a huge fan of Zelda.
The ocarina arrive in a small box wrapped in tissue paper. Included was a beginner's booklet that contained several songs to get you started. The songs that were included were:
Ocarina 101 (the basics of getting started)
several different scales
Song of Time
Zelda's Lullaby
Market Song (Hyrule Castle)

It looks small when you first open it, but when you think about it, it was pretty small in the game too. I do not have small fingers and I find that the size doesn't make it hard to play at all. Also, it is not fragile at all. I'm a bit of a klutz, so I've probably dropped it half a dozen times, several times on hard wood floor rather than carpet and it remains thoroughly intact. My son loves the ocarina! It's a very easy instrument to learn and has a nice sound. My son was able to play music right away.

One other thing is that it's more of a purple/blue then a straight up blue, but it's better then other one's I've had. I would ... Read More

I don't know if this is the regular Ocarina Of Time Ocarina or the Extended range one, but I ordered the Extended range sweet potato Ocarina Of Time from Song Bird Ocarinas for a whopping $59.99 [plus another $18.00 for the carrying case and song books] and I felt like crying when I got it in the mail. It's so dang small that it fits in the palm of your hand, and the holes are so close together that it's hard to know if your fingers are even over the holes or not! And it doesn't sound that great either. ... Read More
