I highly recommend this rechargable device over the cheaper one where you'll end up paying just as much in replacing batteries. It's really a no brainer for a better device. The charger can charge both the collar and remote at same time.

I have tried every collar there is for my 2 1/2 year old Rottweiler. She has three head collars, 2 harnesses, pinch collars, choker chains and regular nylon collars. NOTHING works on her. She has been through 4 months of obedience training and my husband and I have spent hours working with her and walking her daily. Don't waste your money purchasing other things, this is the best that you can get to train and educate your dog. It help me a lot with the excessive barking of my mastiff and another miss behaviors. Remember that you have to be very responsible following up the reasons of the miss behaviors before you start correcting them. It help me a lot to follow the program of Cesar Milan, but I need to use this in some occasions. Highly recommended.

This worked very well, the product is sturdy and exactly as described. My only issue is that there are only 9 settings for the buttons and it so happend the setup I would've liked was not one of them. Other than that I agree with other reviewers, 1 and 2 are barely a feeling and 3 is unpleasent. I was very opposed to this collar, as I was afraid that the "shock" was inhumane!!!!!! My dog was only about 15 months old, with a very high drive--she is a standard schnauzer--and her constant barking, jumping up on people, and her inability to obey commands when she was distracted by other dogs was making me crazy.
