Yaktrax's are unbeatable. They give the greatest traction in all icy conditions. I run a high mountain camp and have tried many ice traction devises. In icy conditions, CAUTION, is always the most important factor, no matter what the devise. In walking indoors all devises can be hazardous, it depends on the care you use while walking. A couple of years ago I saw these in a catalog and bought a pair each for my husband and my father for Christmas. I don't think my father has ever tried them on, but my husband wears them all winter long in icy conditions and talks about them constantly. He insisted that I buy a pair this year, and wow, am I ever glad I did. I keep them attached to my snow boots so all I have to do is slip the shoes on and go for my daily walk with my three dogs. Recieved them within three days. With all this cold icy weather you wouldnt catch me without my yak tracks.They are the best.

Just wish I knew about these before I had slipped on the ice. Great idea that works well. Bought these for my boots and the standard version for my regular shoes. The only difference really is the strap across the front of the foot which secures them better to the foot on the pro version.
