As a longtime listener of the webcast "Knuckle Up", I'd heard the rantings about this book and, without a Paypal account, figured this is as good a way to support the art.
I was happy I did.
This book touches on many of the forms fighting takes, some of which I was interested in and others, I found compelling by virtue of Mr. Robinson's prose.

This book is a must-have for anyone who is a fan of the pugilistic arts, whether it's on the streets, or in a ring or cage. Eugene Robinson manages to cover every aspect of fighting and educates the reader, while at the same time, makes you laugh at his own agonizing experiences. I'm an avid MMA fan and have trained for years, and I even learned some new things from this book. I recommend it, highly!

If you want to read a book that shows you how to fight, well...there's more than enough. There are plenty of books showing the "ancient," "secret," "deadly" art of...some thing or another. That's all fine and dandy, but the truth is that a majority of "black belts" in the world look great doing their katas and competing in their point-system tournaments.
