I went into this thinking that I wouldn't like "Dark Reunion" not just from the comments others have made on reviews here but because I knew it was an 'extra' book that LJ wrote after the 'success' of this series back in the early ninties. I ended up really enjoying it!

Having read Twlight, Amazon recommended the Vampire Diaries. I really liked all of them, funny they were written my senior year in high school and I never heard about them - but of course I was busy reading War and Peace (YUCK). I really like how Ljane develops the characters. I recommend it to anyone that likes a little romance and a little vampire combined.

I received the first book, The Awakening,for my birthday in 6th grade; which was a very long time ago since I will turn 30 on my next birthday. I read them and every other L.J. Smith book and looked forward to Strange Fate for years. I actually haven't reread them in a few years, but I am excited to be able to buy them again. This series is very juvenile. I imagine that anyone under about 16 would really enjoy it and some over 16 but it's not for adults who are used to smart, interesting writing.

I love Vampire Books, I have read a lot of them lately... This book is great and my daughter loved it as well. I like reading books that my teenage daughter likes to read as well. We can talk about what we liked and didn't like in the books. She loved this book as well.
