Must have if your parenting a teenager. I bought it because I have a teenage grandson. I'm a substitute teacher and this book has given me a positive insight to understanding the teenagers I have in class. After reading through it I bought a copy for my daughter.

Was basically a book about a class the author had offered. But it did give helpful examples of what the teen said and what you could say differently to have your teen listen. I have bookmarked several pages and keep forcing myself to go back to the examples until I learn to react and listen in a way my teen will respond to. I would recommend this book and have already loaned it to my neighbor.

This is a great book - I encourage all parents of teens to take a look. Not only is it filled with step by step instructions, the cute cartoon samples make it easy to follow!

This book is an easy read and has some good ideas for the child that falls with one standard deviation on a bell shaped curve. It lacks addressing the special needs adolescent or the child that cannot be reasoned with.
